Arghhh! House cleaning

Our annual apartment inspection is tomorrow, so I'm washing curtains, scrubbing floors, and rounding up our ferrets to get them out of here before the inspectors arrive. ("you said 'no pets'? I though you meant 'no pests.")

In the meantime, there is rice cooking on the stove, and a few haori hanging from the ceiling, airing out. It's hot hot hot outside, but the garden has provided snow peas for lunch. Haori, houseplants, and bicycles compete for space while my bolts of kimono silk are very well behaved in the corner of the living room devoted to "studio" space.

yawn...

And here I am. Blogging. Something I swore I'd never do.

It's 3 am. I think I need to sleep. Or stop living on Japan time. Whatever works.
